- And Remind them to brush up on their theology, starting with the Catechism!

Episode Seven took significantly longer than expected. Part of that was difficulty in coming to grips with how to write some scenes and characters, but the larger part of that was getting out of the writing groove by going to a big anime convention. But at least seven turned out to be a longer episode. But now that it's done, the next three or four episodes will get titles, and when eight is posted, it'll come with updated reference pages for episodes five through eight. Okay, episode six is up! Seven is being worked on. There's a common analogy used to describe different approaches to the writing process: Gardeners and architects. Architects plan out everything meticulously and build a solid structure by hand, while gardeners create a solid base, an environment in which a story can organically grow. It's an oversimplification, but hey, what are you gonna do? Lately I've been feeling that writing is occasionally like how I've heard the process of sculpting marble described. Each action, each choice, reveals what was already waiting in that unknown space. Current Music: Guilty All the Same, from Linkin Park's album, The Hunting Party.

As usual, I'm running behind schedule, but instead of being late to the update, I'm posting what I have! Episode Five is up, and Episode Six will be up as soon as it's finished. Tentatively, seven and eight are scheduled for 4/2, but I'm thinking it might be better to start promising bi-weekly single episode updates rather than monthly double-chapter updates. New supplementary content pages will come with EP6 or 7. The idea is to have a set of them for every four episodes or so, providing y'all with data points to refer to: For example, there's been tons of fantasy and sci-fi narratives that I've read that have had appendices to help the reader keep track of all the characters, and I've needed the heck out of that before - however, those appendices are there for the entire story. So by just looking at them, it's possible to spoil yourself. This method has a bit more granularity. Current Music: The Warning, off of Nine Inch Nails's album, Year Zero.

It's a few days late, but here's episodes three and four! The supplementary information pages are up, although they're fairly rudimentary right now. That's to be expected, though - we're not very far in to all of this, and we've got a lot to learn about these characters and this world. The next two episodes are scheduled to be released on 3/2/2023.

Work on this story got delayed by me writing an entire other novel. It's available here. It's about a terrible person doing a murder at an anime convention, and the consequences thereof catching up with him. Episodes One and Two have been updated, and the next update is scheduled for 1/31/2023. I'm still figuring out just what will be coming with that, but at least Episode Three, and hopefully Four. A lot of back-end work had to be done.

This is the first, pre-alpha sort of post of the website. Episode One is up, and the relevant subpages, but everything's a little janky and subject to improvement. But all the structures are in place, and we're gonna see how it all shakes out. Only chapter one is up right now, so links to the later chapters are broken. Also, the favicon is wrong.
